Warm Meets Cool Kitchen
Looking to cook up a comprise in an outdated 70’s era kitchen, these homeowners had different priorities, but the same goal: a welcoming modern space open to the adjacent living room, deck, and outdoors. Introducing different warm tones of wood to the cool vibe of sleek stainless steel appeased both partners.
To expand usable kitchen space without encroaching on the living room, an island with a raised bar at the end created additional seating, and storage was maximized with a large appliance garage and specially designed pull-out pantry storage and tray dividers. While the color scheme, lighting fixtures, and state-of-the-art fixtures added to the design, it was expanding the house’s original tongue and groove ceiling into the adjoining space that seamlessly tied it all together.
